Yvonne Moore, age 88, resident of Willard, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 17, 1932 in Hellier, KY to the late A.M. Phipps and Ruby Counts Phipps Lakin and had been a resident of Willard most of her life. Yvonne and Bob owned and operated the Moore's IGA in Willard. She volunteered at Willard Mercy Hospital and the Senior Center and she worked at the Willard Food Bank. She was a member of the Willard Country Club where she got a hole-in-one in 1982.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Mary) Moore of Willard; her daughter, Rhonda Moore (Tom) Bedall of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Matthew (Ellie) Moore, Maranda (Keith) Kipp and Levi Bedall; three great grandchildren, Sophia Moore, Abrahm Moore and Warren Kipp; two brothers, Allen (Roberta) Phipps of Chesapeake, VA and Daniel (Nancy) Phipps of Danville, VA; nieces and nephews and dear friend Carol Lofland.
She is preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years, Bob Moore; parents, A.M. Phipps and Ruby Lakin, step-father Hager Lakin and twin grandsons, Mark and Luke Moore.
There will be no calling hours or funeral by wishes of Yvonne and due to the COVID pandemic. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Stein Hospice of Sandusky, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Some miles between us never stopped your Mom and me from staying in touch. We used to send notes and letters back and forth, usually on a monthly basis. The last note I got, she was running out of room - so said she was gonna turn into Aunt Violet - And write on toilet paper =) Her notes made me laugh..and sometimes want to cry...She missed Bob so much. And loved to talk about you both, with love and pride. I know she's with God now...with the cares of this çrazy world far behind. But I still miss her....It was her turn to write. God wrap you all in His Wings of love and protection.

Thinking of you during this difficult time. I enjoyed working for her years ago at the IGA. She could be strict but I think it’s only because she cared for her employees. In recent years at church she would always take the time to ask how my family was doing. I missed seeing her after her health declined and she couldn’t attend anymore.
