Yvonne Elizabeth Barrison, age 71, of Ontario, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at her home. She was born on August 31, 1952 to the late Nathaniel Harris and Doris (Durham) Scott. Yvonne enjoyed cooking and decorating her house and yard. Most of all, Yvonne loved to spend time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Shawn (Ivette) Barrison of Lorain, Ohio, Jermaine Barrison of Mansfield, Ohio and Eric Barrison of Mansfield, Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Gabriella Barrison, Javonn Barrison, Preston Strong; 4 great grandchildren, Mylah Barrison, Midas Barrison, Major Barrison and Mikal Barrison; 7 siblings, Lisha Scott, Timothy (Schwanna) Scott, David Scott, Tonya Scott, Sabrina Harris, Robin Harris and Ricky Harris; along with several numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barrison who died on August 10, 2012; sister, Deborah Harris and brother, Robert Harris.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Yvonne’s private funeral service will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Bruce Bond officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. To the barrison family…my heavy heart is with all of you today. What a beautiful lady Yvonne was. I am a neighbor who got to know her the last 2 years. She inspired me so much to watch her walk every day several times, when I don’t even do that. She would tell me “you need to get out and do this”. She decorated like there was no tomorrow. I couldn’t wait to see what she was going to come with on the next holiday. Between her and I we kept this area looking nice. Her and I would complain to each other about what we like and don’t like about living here. She is the only one I knew around here. I’m glad I got to know her as my friend. She could be anyone’s friend. I miss her already. The thing I love the most is that she is reunited with the love of her life, her husband, and not any pain can touch her. She is completely whole. I pray god will give your family peace at this time and always. Rest in peace my friend, I will look for you when I get there. God bless Donna heminger
