Willis R. Castle, age 80, resident of Shelby, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at MedCentral Shelby Hospital in Shelby, Ohio. He was born on June 1, 1934 in Nippa, KY to the late Rell and Florence Marie (Isaac) Castle. He had been a resident of Plymouth for 50 years until moving to Shelby in 2005. Willis was a retired locomotive assembler from Plymouth Locomotive.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce N. Castle whom he wed on May 11, 1953; one son, Willis L. Castle of Mansfield; two daughters, Marina G. Hammett of Shelby; and Krista D. Burkett of Plymouth; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Ellis Castle of Mansfield; and two sisters, Lou Ellen Wright of Ashland, KY and Eleta Williams of North Carolina. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet K. Easterling; and a brother, Jay Castle.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, OH on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Reverend Clifford Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
