Willie Handshoe, age 69, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Mercy Hospital of Willard. Born on May 20, 1954 in Willard, Ohio, he was a son of the late Vincent and Carrie (Bolen) Handshoe.
Willie retired from RR Donnelley’s in Willard and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His family was most important to him and he cherished the time he spent with them.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rochelle (Reiderman) Handshoe; four children, Crystal Handshoe, Andrew (Courtney) Handshoe, Jessica Handshoe (Michael Johnson) and Courtney (Shawn) Patrick; seven grandchildren who affectionately called him Papaw, Hunter, Emariah, Reese, Maisy, Masyn, Weston and Corey; five siblings, Claude (Gaylene) Handshoe, Lorrean (Rodney) Backensto, Charlene Gasparac, Robert (Bonnie) Handshoe and David (Lisa) Handshoe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by a son, Brian Handshoe; and two sisters, Evelyn Robinson and Lynn Tackett.
A gathering for friends and family will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
