William "Bill" McVey, born on June 4, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio entered his eternal home in heaven on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Ohio Health Shelby Hospital, joining his wife, Delores "Jane" McVey. Bill left a tremendous legacy of family. His greatest joy was his four children, Billy (Denise), Tracey (Toni), Deb Jackson (Glenn), Sandra Stinchcomb (David); grandchildren, Shanon, Kristen, Samantha, Heather, Lindsay, Connor, Cody, BreAnna, and Trace; great grandchildren, Kyndall, Kane, Rhett, Liam, Kenna Jane, Harper, and Kolt; and a sister, Alice Holdinski.
He is preceded by his parents, his wife, and a brother, Patrick McVey.
Bill was the owner and operator of McVey trucking and loved being on the road. He lived in the Plymouth/Shelby area and also spent time at his family homestead cabin in Graysville, Ohio. Bill's greatest joy was spending time at the cabin with his family and "extended family." Bill was quick with his wit, and would sing you a song for a good laugh.
Visitation will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Friday, February, 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Twelve Noon at the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in Graysville, Ohio with Pastor Janet Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
