Beyond our shared heritage of Finley Church in Steubenville, OH, it seemed the Lord would place us in the same "neck of the woods" over the years: Monroe/Belmont Counties, East Liverpool, and more recently Williard/Mansfield. What great memories. Next, we get to shard Heaven with the Savior we love!

So sad to hear of Pastor Bill's passing! I cannot express in mere words how much his ministry meant to me at South Bellaire U M church back when he was our pastor! Even just recently when two of my friends & I came up to visit at Blossom, we came up to bless him & he was so much of a blessing to us~~singing with us & praying over us! The world is at a loss at his passing for sure! But now he is at peace & singing in the heavenly choir! If he doesn't hear "Well done" none of us have a chance! Prayers for the Claralynn & the family!

One of the many wonderful memories I have of Billy Joe is accompanying him as he sang, "Someday...I shall go to dwell on Zion's hill" or "The storms will come, but fear not, oh, children I am nigh, and through the upper window you'll see Me passing by." What a comfort to many who heard him sing and preach! We at Finley UMC were always blessed when he came home for a visit. May his God comfort his family at this time.

Rev Bill had a big part in my life when he was at south Bellaire Meth. He did a lot to prepare me for the ministry I have enjoyed for the last 40 years as a pastor. Took me to Asbury and Hollow Rock and always let me fill in for him at the church. Thank you Rev. Bill
