William “Harry” V. Cox, age 67, resident of Willard, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2006 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home. He was born on February 10, 1939 in Ironton, Ohio, to the late Floyd H. and Minerva (Eagle) Cox and had been a Willard resident for most of his life. He was employed at R.R. Donnelley’s in Willard, for over 30 years and retired in 1995. He was an avid fisherman and loved history, reading, astrology, poetry and sports.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Cox of Castalia, OH and David and Kim Cox of Grand Prairie, TX; and one brother, Ellis D. (Jan) Cox of Louisville, KY; 2 sisters-in-law, Mila Cox of Florida and Martha Cox of Bellevue.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Minerva (Eagle) Cox; one sister, Charlotte Vaughn and three brothers, Gerald, Robert and Gene Cox.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ken Gifford officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial expressions may be made to the Willard Conservation League. www.secorfuneralhome.com
