Wayne T. Trimmer, 87, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Willows in Willard, Ohio. He was born on September 13, 1925 in Centerton, Ohio to the late Leon S. and Julia (Wilcox) Trimmer. He lived in the house he was born in all of his life. Wayne worked at Pioneer Rubber Co. in Willard for 27 years and retired as a printer from the Herald Printing Co. in New Washington. He was a lifetime member of the Norwalk V.F.W and a member of the Willard American Legion and Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II under General Patton and received the Purple Heart award. Wayne enjoyed playing euchre and being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his son, Tom “Tink” (Sheree) Trimmer of Willard; three granddaughters, Shelly (Derek) Axline of Somerset, Ohio, Tiffany (Ryan) Riley of North Fairfield, Ohio and Tracy Trimmer of Willard; great granddaughter, Addyson Riley and great grandson, Brady Axline.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie E. (Lowther) Trimmer, whom he married on June 1, 1947 and who passed away May 25, 2012; parents, Leon and Julia Trimmer and his brother, Kenneth Trimmer.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 4:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Roger Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Centerton Cemetery in Centerton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard, Ohio.
