Victor Michael Perkins Jr., age 37, of La Porte, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016. He was born on April 16, 1978 in Willard, Ohio to Rita (Hall) Slessman and Victor Perkins Sr.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Rita Slessman of Plymouth, OH; father and stepmother, Victor (Darlene) Perkins of Dallas, TX; one daughter, Katie Aichholz of Attica, OH; siblings, Melanie (Chris) Elliott of Plymouth, OH; Amber (David) Weidinger of Toledo, OH; Mitchell Perkins of Dallas, TX; Melissa Perkins of Dallas, TX; nephews Ethan and Cody Elliott of Plymouth, OH; Zachary Weidinger of Toledo, OH; Skylynn Zaicek, Davarius Howard of Dallas, TX; nieces, Mckenzie and Makayla Weidinger of Toledo, OH; Chasity Zaicek of Dallas, TX; one grandmother, Corky Jennine Slessman of Willard, OH; Maternal Aunts, Annie Johnson, Ana Holmes, Shirlene Hall, Pauline Holmes, Jean Robinson, Anita Hudson and Irene Cooper; Maternal Uncles, Ron Hall, Gary Hall, Bill Hall, John Westbrook, Don Westbrook and Lonnie Westbrook; Paternal Aunts, Becky Marrone and Amy Slessman; Paternal Uncles, John Slessman and Fred Slessman; and numerous cousins.
He enjoyed cooking, drawing, reading, fishing, shooting pool, playing guitar and darts. His favorite quotes, “It is what it is”, “cool as a fan”, “never share a secret, nobody will keep it”, and his personal favorite he came up with, “God save me from myself”.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wayles and Ethel Hall; Uncles Richard and Robert Hall, Gordan Hall, Donald Hall; Aunts Edith Castle and Ernie Tackett; parental grandfather, Neil Cloyce Slessman; Aunt Cathy Coleman and numerous relatives.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with a memorial service at 4:00 PM with Pastor Bob James officiating.
