Tyler Joseph Niese, age 16, of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in New Washington. He was born on July 2, 1999 in Willard, Ohio to Sheila Marquart and Dan Niese. He was a member of 4H, FFA, Ohio State Trappers Association, played football and was a self-taught mechanic. He enjoyed working on the farm, hunting, trapping, cutting wood and was a man of many words.
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Marquart of New Washington; father, Dan (Jenny) Niese of New Washington; three sisters, his twin Taylor Niese of New Washington; Addie Kessler of New Washington; Kaily Van Vlerah of Milan; maternal grandparents, Roger and Juleen Marquart; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Carol Niese; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Morris Van Vlerah III.
Visitation will be held at the St. Bernard Catholic School Gymnasium in New Washington, Ohio on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM and 5:00 -7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington with Father Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tyler Niese Memorial Scholarship Fund or to the donor’s choice.
