Treva Louise Slone, age 29, of Ft. Wayne, IN, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on May 29, 1986 to Winona (Dyer) Thomas and Gregory Slone in Shelby, Ohio. Treva was a 2005 graduate of Monroeville High School, and was an avid writer, and enjoyed reading, doodling, loved playing pool on her pool league, but most of all, loved and cherished her nieces, nephews, and family.
She is survived by the love of her life, Javin Chaney and his daughters, Lanyiah and Aaliya of Ft. Wayne, IN; mother, Winona (Dyer) Thomas of Salt Lake City, UT; father, Gregory Scott (Jennifer) Slone of Norwalk; sisters, Amber (Adam) Schafer of Norwalk; Chelsea Coleman of Jacksboro, TN; Kathryn Coleman of Knoxville, TN; nieces and nephews, Alaina and Adrian Schafer and Lylah Phillips and Aiden Coleman; maternal grandparents, Donald and Treva Diane (Kennard) Dyer; paternal grandparents, Mary Louise (Deal) Slone; step-grandmother, Ruth Brown and step-grandmother, Janice (Dave) Slone Mullins; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by grandfather, Wendell Slone and step-grandfather, Clarence Brown.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and from 6:00 – 8:00 PM where a funeral service will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Kennard officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Treva. Please accept my condolences. At times like these I am assured of what God says at Psalms 34:18 when he says he is near to those brokenhearted. Cherish the memories of Treva in your heart and keep them close.
