Thomas “Tom” Meiser, 81, of Columbus, OH passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home.
Tom was born in Cleveland, OH on February 12, 1935 to the late Robert and Thelma Meiser in Plymouth, OH. He is survived by his loving wife Karen; Son Robert (Kim) Meiser; two daughters, Traci Meiser and Kelli (Walt) Rinehart Fraher; Grandchildren David, Megan, Alison and Tyler Rinehart and Kelsie and Andrew Meiser; two sister, Susan Heydinger and Roberta (David) Mathias, and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family and a friend to all.
Tom graduated from Plymouth High School in 1953. He served four years with the U.S. Navy and attended Ashland College. He began a lasting career in the financial business and retired after 30 years of service from Barclays Financial. Tom was an avid fisherman, golfer and loved the outdoors. He spent many weekends on the water. Tom loved his dog Patch and spending the afternoon with him in the back yard sunning. He greatly enjoyed backyard barbeques and the cherished time spent with his family. During the football season, Tom was The Ohio State Buckeyes number one fan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, where the funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Al Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart/Stroke Association.
