Thelma Jean Hamons, age 81, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 18, 1937, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late Alfred and Lee Esther (Montgomery) Holbrook. Thelma worked as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She was an active member and enjoyed attending Willard Church of God. She liked reading the Bible and praying. Thelma enjoyed being around her family and absolutely adored her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Hamons of Willard, Ohio; two grandchildren, Christopher (Meredith) Hamons of Round Rock, Texas, Angela (Barry) Sherer of Willard, Ohio; two great grandchildren, Mary Katherine Hamons, Peter Hamons; four siblings, Aron (Celia) Holbrook, Larry (Mable) Holbrook, Edith Hall, Juanita (Dillard) Hall; sister in law, Peggy Holbrook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hamons; two brothers, Mike and Marvin Holbrook; a daughter-in-law, Martha Hamons and a brother-in-law, Cleon Hall.
