Steven D. Evans, age 68, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on January 24, 1955 in Willard to Stella Lazar. Steve loved listening to music and cherished the time he spent fishing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by 5 children, Wendy Blackburn of Willard, OH, Adam Evans of Monroeville, OH, Tammy (Jarod) Hess of Medina, OH, Barbie Evans of Bryson City, NC and Tera Evans of Kendallville, IN; 13 grandchildren who were the loves of his life, Hannah Gayheart, Zachary Gullett, Ethan Oney, Austin Blackburn, Kayla Evans, Justice Carney, Jullian Blackburn, Autumn Hess, Matthew Evans, Logan Hess, Landon Hess, Jace Evans and Madison Hess; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Missy (Jamie) Sykes of LaGrange, IN, Theresa Stogner of Kingsport, TN and Shelia (Paul) Randol of Wolcottville, IN.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Lazar; dad and mom, Richard Sr. and Barbara Keck; 1 son, Thomas Evans; and 2 brothers, Walter Stogner and Alan Stover.
