I remember Solon as one of the good guys. I’ve known Solon over the years at RRD, Softball, and various other activities. I’ve never seen him mad or upset in any way. He was a good man and will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go to Solon and all of his Family.
I remember when Solon joined my grade school class when he moved to Willard from Detroit about 1944. WE have been close friends ever since. He has always been a true friend of mine and I am deeply moved by his passing. I have always been in appreciation when he and Jetty drove all the way to Rhode Island for our Wedding and made it round trip on just a two day weekend. He was so dedicated to Willard Sports teams, as a fireman/Rescue Squad member and City Councilman. He also suffered so many physical problems. May he rest in peace.
To Solon’s Family, I was privileged to work with Solon @ R. R. Donnelley’s at which time I often felt his joy, as well as his love for people. He was always so bubbly and his countenance radiated the atmosphere. I am sure he will be greatly missed by all here, but he is in his heavenly home today! God be with you all. Sincerely, Liz
