Sharon Ann Kaple, age 69, resident of Bucyrus, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 30, 1955 to the late Donald and Dorothy Kaple.
Sharon was raised in New Washington with her eleven siblings, surrounded by extended family. She attended St. Bernard Catholic School and Buckeye Central High School where she graduated from in 1973.
She has one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah (Fike) and Michael Dean and three grandsons, Damian, Derex, and Dom Dean.
Sharon worked various jobs including waitressing at Red Lobster and taking care of others at Broken Arrow. She enjoyed volunteering at the Bucyrus Library and packing backpacks for the Backpack program.
Sharon enjoyed reading and was blessed with a green thumb in caring for her house plants. She also loved spending time with her extended family including her nieces and nephews. However, Sharon’s favorite people in the world were her three grandsons.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Kaple.
In addition to her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons, she is survived by her siblings, Diane (John) Hunziker of Cleveland; Tim (Yvonne) Kaple of Dublin; Steve (Mary) Kaple of Clyde; Jule (Frank) Kaple of New Washington; Keith Kaple of New Washington; Mary (Doug) Kehres of Van Wert; Randy (Lori) Kaple of Bucyrus; Neal Kaple of Port Orange, FL; Kenny Kaple of New Washington; and Todd (Melissa) Kaple of Shelby; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Alzheimer’s Association, St. Vincent DePaul Society or Bucyrus Library.
