Sandra K. (Vanderpool) Shea, age 63, resident of Shelby, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was born on May 1, 1949 in Willard, Ohio. Sandra was a graduate of both Mount Vernon Nazarene College and Trevecca Nazarene College. She worked as a switch board operator for Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida. Sandra was a member of the Willard Church of the Nazarene. She was an avid reader, great cook and loved to talk to family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her son, Phillip Shea of Orlando, FL; mother, Dolores (Saunders) Vanderpool of Shelby; five sisters, Carol (Marvin) Bannworth of Willard, Phyllis (Norman) Workman of Danville, OH, Vicky Sanders of Greenwich, OH, Becky (Terry) Schnell of Bayview, OH, and Melody (Shannon) Keene of Shelby; two brothers, Eric (Pam) Vanderpool of Howard, OH and Joe (Justine) Vanderpool of Greer, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Patrick Shea; and father, Phil Vanderpool.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM with nephew, Pastor Steven Burkhalter officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
