Samuel Edward Shirk, age 77, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on November 20, 1941 in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Andrew and Nettie (Knupke) Shirk. He worked for Telecommunications and he loved his pets, was an Elvis fan and a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Holly (Rick) Weir of Tiro, Heidi Shirk of Willard, and Faith (Brian) Bowman of Shelby; brother, Ned (Verda) Hoelzer of Oxford, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Shirk and a brother, Richard Hoelzer.
