Russell Earl Goodwin II, age 79, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on September 5, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Russell Earl and Muriel (Franklin) Goodwin. Russell proudly served in the U.S. Army and retired from R.R. Donnelley and Sons after over 40 years of service. He was an expert marksman and was a member of the Erie County Conservation Club and competed regularly in rifle matches.
Russell is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Werner) Goodwin whom he married on August 7, 1976; two daughters, Lisa (Tim) Isaac of Plymouth and Laura (Boog Stevens) of Willard; five grandchildren, Amanda, Amelia, Alyvia (Mark), Alaina and Melany; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Terry (Karen) Goodwin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell Earl and Muriel (Franklin) Goodwin.

Russ and Sylvia were great neighbors to my family. I have known him since I was kid growing up on the lake. He will be greatly missed. My kids enjoyed having talks with him as he sat in his chair in his driveway. He let my daughter fill his bird feeder with bird feed.My kids enjoyed there visits with him.
