Rosetta Gibson, age 82, of Willard, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 26, 1938 in Plymouth, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Orelia Green and grew up and attended school in North Fairfield, Ohio. Rosetta retired from Midwest Industries after 36 years of service. She liked to go shopping, go out to eat and a good garage sale. She liked to play cards and reminisce about working at Midwest. Rosetta loved most of all to sit at her kitchen table and watch the deer or the little hummingbirds she fed while enjoying a good cup of hot tea with not one but two heaping spoonful's of sugar and talking with family or friends and especially grandchildren.
She leaves behind with cherished memories her daughters, Barb (James) Smith, Kathy (Jim) Clark and Carol (Donnie) Buss all of Willard, and Amy Gibson of Wilmington, NC; 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; niece, Louise (Bill) Hammersmith; nephew, Lou Ward; brother-in-law, Junior Gibson of Auburn, IN; nieces and nephews, Rod, Sheila, Tammy and Tonia; and so many special family members and friends too many too list. You know who you are.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Gibson; sister, Judy Ward; her in-laws, Homer and Alifair Gibson and her sister-in-law, Wilda Gibson.
Rosetta was the rock for her children and her many grandchildren and her family was always her #1 priority. Her opinion or advice was not something you would have to ask for, she would gladly give you either and was usually right. She will be truly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Family and close friends are invited for visitation at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM where her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM with Pastor Greg Griffith officiating.
