Rose Van Loo, 90, passed away on Sunday July 10 2016.
She was born September 22, 1925 in Willard, Ohio to the late Wit Anthony and Mary Elizabeth (Mager) Colich.
Rose had a kind and giving heart and a smile for everyone; she especially enjoyed being around young children. She was very strong and faithful no matter the circumstance. Rose worked various jobs including: the Shelby Depot, Pioneer Rubber Co., Dr. Haver, Border’s Market, and Willard City Schools at the New Haven Elementary School. She was a member of the New Haven Rebekah’s, the Willard Garden Club, and the Willard Christian Reformed Church.
Surviving are her children and grandchildren: son: Richard (Sheila) Chapman (Julie and Robert Gebhardt, Rick and Kari Chapman), daughter : Deb (David) McKown, (Amie and Mark Anderson, Brandi and Arturo Vargas, and Jennifer and Brian Zamzow), daughter: Bonny Chapman (Dawn Everett), son: Daniel (Sheila) Van Loo, (Shelly and Jeff Arbogast, Scott and Chrystie Van Loo), daughter: Elaine (Neal) VanderBilt, (Lynne and Gerald McGraw, Tracy and David Belt, Michael and Jill VanderBilt, and Ashley VanderBilt), son: Steve (Patti) Van Loo, (Holli and Justin Peckens, Tim and Amber Van Loo, and Todd and Allison Van Loo), daughter: Linda (Jerry) Boven, (Kellie Anthony and Heather Gilley), daughter; Janice Cok, (Melissa Cok). She is also survived by many great grandchildren; sister, Margaret (Robert) Hardee; longtime friend, Alice Babcock, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Rose was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Ann; first husband: Donald Chapman; second husband: Gerald Van Loo; and five brothers and three sisters.
A viewing will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at the Secor Funeral Home, 202 W. Maple Street, Willard, Ohio 44890, followed by a memorial service Saturday at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Doug Beggs officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
