Rosalyn A. Wechter, age 82, of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation in Willard, Ohio. She was born on August 16, 1938 in Carey, Ohio to the late Russell D. and Pauline E. (Mathern) Wickiser. Rosalyn was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing at Meadowbrook Park, camping, doing hair and tending to her flower gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Ed) Hren of Chardon, OH; two sons, Kevin Wechter of New Washington, OH and Jerry (Melissa) Wechter of Shelby, OH; three grandchildren, Connor Hren and Meghan Hren both of Chardon, Kamryn Wechter of Shelby, Leah Crum of Lexington, OH, Josh Rice and Destiny Godwin, both of Shelby, OH; two sisters, Patricia (Charles Jr.) Boes and Constance (Clifford) Davis; Bernice Wickiser and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Norman William Wechter in 1996 and a brother, Don Wickiser.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio, on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon where her funeral service will be at Noon with Fr. George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. The family wishes that everyone will abide by the COVID pandemic precautions by wearing a mask and social distancing.
