I remember your mom and dad well from my childhood, all the time I spent at their home. I remember my dad had a great respect for Roger. They were great people and they will be missed. I am very sorry for this loss and I pray for comfort for you and your family at this time.

Patti & family: Your dad was one of a kind! He always had a smile on his face & never said no if you needed help. Back in the day, I'd stop in the garage when I would see my Dad's truck there. Mom would get so mad at Dad because she knew your dad always had a bottle of Jack there. 🙂 All of those guys gossiping were worse than old ladies sometimes. He'll be sorely missed & I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Many, many very fond memories of the entire Wilcox family--hanging around the Garage with my dad and Roger's dad, Lee...always going on wrecks and starting stalled cars during the winter whenever we had school snow days. The many trips to "The Cabin" in Canada fishing with Ruthie along--where my wife and I finally got to meet Patty and Bill just a few short years ago! Riding along with Roger when he made all day trips to pick up stranded semis for his clients. And finally I got to meet Tyler in recent years-he sounds so much like his grandfather on the phone I always had to ask to make sure it was Roger I was talking too. Warmest regards and deepest sympathy to all the family...I will miss my friend!

Roger was my older first cousin. We played together and sat side by side at family feasts. Because he was the oldest boy in our family, since I was the next boy in line, I was the recipient of many of his hand me downs. His clothes and shoes were not at all to my liking, but he had some awesome metal trucks and tractors. I looked up to him and always regretted not going to fish with him at their cabin at Ear Falls, Ontario. Great cuz!!!

I had the pleasure to know Roger since my earliest memories. He was a person that served his community with pride and dedication. January 9, 1961 - The Officers and Members of the Fire Department approved Roger Wilcox as a member of the department, replacing Herbert Bores. He resigned 31 years later, but was always there when we needed him. God Bless him and his family. Joe Reiderman
