Rodolfo "Rudy" Maldonado, age 67 of Willard, Ohio passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Mercy Willard Hospital in Willard, Ohio. He was born April 17, 1955 in Tejapa, Mexico to Victoriano Maldonado and Agustina Fajardo Gallegos. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard. He was a former member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge and VFW, all in Willard. He had worked at MTD in Willard for 44 years and enjoyed playing pool, going to dances, singing, soccer and his Dallas Cowboys. He was a very social person and had never met a stranger. His favorite hobby was socializing at a party and especially at the family gatherings. Proud business owner for many years, delivering out of his "tortilla van".
He is survived by his mother, Agustina Fajardo Gallegos, wife, Gracie Maldonado, whom he married November 18, 1978 and son, Rodolfo (Samantha) Maldonado of Strongsville and 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Marion Zaugg) Maldonado and Rebecca Maldonado both of Willard. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Isabella Maldonado, Cristiano Maldonado and Douglas Dennis III and 5 siblings, Felicitas Maldonado Fajardo of Mexico, Victoria Maldonado Fajardo (Asencion Flores) of Mexico, Noe (Lucy) Denova of ILL, Jesus (Mari) Denova of Mexico and Angelica Sanchez Fajardo of New Jersey, many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Maria Maldonado of Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his father, Victoriano Maldonado Castillo, son, Victor Daniel Maldonado and brother, Robertino Maldonado.
Visitation will be Monday, October 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 P.M at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where the funeral service will be Monday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jim Keller Bailey and Pastor Rick Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

Unreal! I am so shocked because we expect this inevitable appointment to come later in life (I mean way later). My deepest condolences to Gracie, Elizabeth, Rudy Jr., Rebecca and the rest of the family. Your dad was a great man indeed. One of the many reasons I remember your dad is because he was one of the few in his generation who spoke perfect English.
