Richard R. Rogers, age 89, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at The Willows at Willard. He was born on August 22, 1932 in Poland, Ohio to the late Robert and Josephine (Wisner) Rogers. Richard was retired from CSX as a brakeman after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Willard United Baptist Church and the UTU (Railroad Union) and enjoyed gardening.
Richard is survived by four sons, Greg A. Rogers of California, Richard Lee Rogers of Greenwich, Ohio, Robert Scott Rogers of Centerton, Ohio and Mark Rogers of Centerton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan Rogers of New Castle, PA and George Rogers of New Castle, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Winona Sue (Lewis) Rogers; 5 sisters, Rachel, Emma, Margaret "Peg", Eleanor and Katherine; 7 brothers, David, Robert, Bill, Donald, Jim, Frank and Glenn.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. His funeral service will be on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Willard United Baptist Church in Willard, Ohio with Pastor Danny Hamilton officiating.
