Richard A. Myers, age 68, of Willard, Ohio passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at his home. He was born December 9, 1945 in Willard, Ohio to the late Simon and Yvonne (Holzhauer) Myers. Mr. Myers was employed with the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 40 years and retired as lead carman in the Bellevue yard. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Willard and enjoyed auctioning and collecting model cars. He was a loyal and loving husband, father and friend always putting family first.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elsie (Ludban) Myers, nine children, Steve (Eva) Burkhalter; Ruth (Ed) Howard; Sandy (Arlen) Warren; Nancy (Robert) Resendez; Tom (Robin) Burkhalter; Kenneth (Denice) Burkhalter; Brenda (Daren) Frankart; Anne (Tim) Dellinger; and Jennifer Bills; twenty grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; and a brother, Simon (Imogene) Myers.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two granddaughters and one grandson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. Then visitation on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the First Assembly of God Church in Willard, Ohio where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Buerger, Tony Cooper and Pastor John Baich officiating. Burial will not be observed at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Assembly of God Church. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
