Ollia M. Snipes, age 85, a longtime resident of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Avita Hospital in Bucyrus. She was born on February 20, 1940, in Riceville, Kentucky to the late Fred and Nora (Blanton) Ramey.

Ollia was a 1958 graduate of New Washington, High School and was a salutatorian of her class. She married Jerry (Joe) Snipes on June 20, 1959. They had 4 children, William “Bill”, Cynthia “Cindy” (deceased at 4 months old), Frederick “Fred” and James. Ollia retired from The Farmers State Bank in New Washington after 29 years of service. Ollia was an avid fan of the Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She also enjoyed cooking many delicious meals for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Ollia is survived by a sister, Betty (Keith) Laughbaum and a brother, Ralph Ramey, 3 children, William “Bill” Snipes, Fred (Dora) Snipes and James (Kim) Snipes. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Snipes was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cindy husband, Joe; a sister, Della Hahn and a brother-in-law, Charles Kenneth Hahn and sister-in-law, Janet (Ralph) Ramey and a step-grandchild, Daniel Wireman.

Services will be provided by Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.  before the funeral on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio.
