Nolan "Bill" Gullett, age 91, resident of Willard, Ohio, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. He was born on March 16, 1927 in Holiday, KY to the late William "Bill" and Myrtle (Thomas) Gullett. Bill worked for General Motors in Ontario, Ohio before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Willard Church of God where he served as head usher for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict (1950-1952). Bill enjoyed the NY Yankees and Cincinnati Reds baseball, hunting, fishing, trapping, bird watching, gardening, canning and playing cards. He held many birthday and holiday dinners at his residence and loved having his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren together. He had special nicknames for his children and their children.
Bill is survived by his wife, Amelia Faye (Dalton) Gullett whom he married on August 29, 1997; son, Steven (Rita) Gullett; daughters, Brenda Parker, Vickie (Ted) Putt, Becky (Bryan) Ousley, Patty (Mark) Ratcliffe and Shelly (Ashish) Das; grandchildren, Chad, Matthew, Katie, Michael, Holly, Travis, Morgan, Shanise, Bryce, Ben, Ashley, Addison, Zachary and Erica, Grace, Christian and Daniel; great grandchildren, Emma, Nolan, Hanna, Maddie, Trevor, Layla, Aria, Weston and Wyatt; and 2 step daughters, Yvonne Reed and Cheryl Buurma.
In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Betty (Harvey) Gullett; granddaughters, Crystal and Ally and siblings, Opal, Buford, Veneda, Henry, Chapel, Edsel, Remus, Val and Robert.
Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. His funeral service will be on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Willard Church of God on Willard West Road in Willard with Rev. Greg Griffith and Rev. Steve Burkhalter officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio with military rites. Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.
