Nancy M. Daniel, age 89, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 29, 1932 in Willard, Ohio to the late Charles and Josephine (Granda) Ludban. Nancy was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a caregiver for several families.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sally (Dave) Frye, Judy Younger, both of Willard, and Jennie (Kevin) Lucas of Lakewood; four sons, Joseph (Deb) Daniel, James (Nancy) Daniel, Charles (Jenifer) Daniel and Thomas (Karen) Daniel, all of Willard; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil J. Daniel; daughter, Josephine Daniel; three grandchildren, Nicholas Hamons, Anthony Hamons and Nanci Thornton; one great granddaughter, Mary Enders; seven sisters, Jennie Cradlebaugh, Ann Wiles, Betty Burks, Caroline Ludban, Dorothy Ballentine, Grace Mahl and Elsie Myers; and three brothers, Charles Ludban, Frank Ludban and Thomas Ludban.
Per Nancy's request, there will be no calling hours and there will be a funeral mass at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Michael Diemer officiating and a private graveside service at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis School in Willard. I am so very sorry to hear about this tonight. I would have loved to have honored by attending mass today. She was the epitome of a mother and grandmother. She not only raised an amazing family, but she helped so many of us raise ours! I can't imagine how many children she helped form during her lifetime. What an amazing person she was. My hearts breaks for all of you. I'm betting she's holding a baby in heaven right now.

To the Daniel family- I send all of you my sincere condolences for the loss of Nancy. I had the privilege of knowing Nancy for the 30+ years that I lived in Huron County. She was the caregiver of our young children, and she had the patience of a saint. She was even the godmother of our youngest. Our children still have fond memories of their time with Nancy and Virgil. It has been a privilege to have known Nancy and much of her extended family.

Sending peace to you all. What a wonderful MOM. Your family was a very big part of ours while I was growing up in Willard. Our moms were quite a pair and loved to laugh. Your mom also gave my bridal shower and pierced my ears and I went on to pierce many ears at BGSU. Lots of fond memories of you children and your Dad.
