Nancy E. Polachek, age 66, resident of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born September 12, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Paul Sr. & Estella (Jones) Weiss. She was formerly employed at R.R. Donnelley’s and the Willard Medical Center in Willard, Ohio. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband David A. Polachek, whom she married January 11, 1964; son and daughter-in-law, Greg (Mandy) Polachek of Willard; daughter and son-in-law, Sandi (Aaron) Weltlin of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Brad, Mariah, Nathan and Grant; sister and brother-in-law, Shelley (Dwayne) Hershiser of Willard; 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul (Geraldine) Weiss Jr. of Willard, John (Mabel) Weiss of Willard, Alvin (Bernita) Weiss of Willard, William Weiss of New Haven and Robert (Mona) Weiss of Florida; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Sr. & Estella (Jones) Weiss and a sister-in-law, Sandra Weiss.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Fr. Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. I’m so sorry for your loss…your mother will be sadly missed and always remembered by all who knew her. I’m sure a part of her will always be present in the stands cheering and encouranging the team.
Dave and Family…I was so shocked when I hear of Nancy’s passing. She was such a nice,kind and wonderful person. I have many good memories when working with her at Donnelleys. My our thoughts and prayers be with all of you.

It breaks my heart to hear of Nancy passing. I will remember her smile forever!! Nancy and Dave were wonderful friends to my parents, Ron and Nora Lofland. I will never forget how much they comforted me when my parents passed. It seems like yesterday that I borrowed bowls from her for Jessica’s graduation party.. she was always willing to help with anything, truly an angel!! She will always be remembered!
