Merl Triplett, age 61, resident of Plymouth, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at his home. He was born June 7, 1943 in Hollybush, Ky and has lived in the Plymouth and Shiloh area since 1964. He had worked 40 years for the Kaple Lumber Company in Shiloh. He loved the outdoors and especially hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Irene (Linville) Triplett, whom he married March 23, 1967; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie & Gary Gundrum of Galion, Rita & Todd Nigh of New Washington, Angela & Ron Conley of Willard and Paula Mathias & Phillip Kimbro of Plymouth; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Delores Thornsberry, Betty Jo Thornsberry and Nancy Smith all of KY and Janice Lackey of Texas; 2 brothers, Paul Triplett and Victor Triplett of KY.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Maryland and Bertha (Slone) Triplett; 2 sisters, Jessie Triplett and Faye Jacobs; brother, John Triplett.
Visitation will be Sat., May 21, 2005 at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., with the funeral service to follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorials may be made to the family and sent to the Secor Funeral Home, 35 Railroad St., Plymouth, OH 44865.
