Mary K. Forquer, age 88, of Greenwich, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at her daughter's home, surrounded by her children. She was born on November 21, 1932 in Plymouth, Ohio to the late John Richard and Ora Mae (Bechstein) Willford.
Mary worked at Pioneer Rubber Co. in Willard, Ohio until her and her husband, Bill, built and operated the Plymouth Car Wash. Following the sale of the car wash, Mary and Bill went on to purchase Curly's Drive-In in Plymouth from "Curly" and Hazel Sammons. After a number of years, Mary and Bill decided to sell Curly's and started their own business, Askme Paving Company. Mary concluded her career at Pepperidge Farm in Willard. She will be remembered by her children as the hardest working woman they had ever known and a wonderful mother.
Mary is survived by her children, Craig Forquer (special friend, Annabelle Howell) of Plymouth, Connie (Jim) Jenkins of Nankin, Ohio, Kathy (Ernie) Ebersole of Greenwich, and Karen Forquer of Marblehead; sister, Doris Enderby of Plymouth, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Forquer in 2000; brothers, Carl Willford, Melvin Willford and Lester Willford, all of whom fought during WWII in France, the South Pacific and in Siciliy where Lester was killed; and sisters, Mildred Holloman, Berdine Roberts and Dorothy Ward.
