Mary Alice Tanner, age 65, of Attica, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4, 1958 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Dale and Dorothy (Bordner) Gangluff. Mary was a 1976 graduate of Seneca East High School and worked as a TPW at Tiffin Developmental Center. She was a member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary and Willard Moose Lodge. Mary enjoyed going to the lake and spending time with family, especially her grandsons.
Mary is survived by her husband, Steven M. Tanner whom she married on October 16, 1982; children, Clinton (Rachel) Tanner and Cody Tanner, both of Attica; grandchildren, Maddux Tanner, and Paxton Tanner; brother-in-law, Dale (Charla) Tanner; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Richard) Reichert and Vonnie (Don) Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dale Gungluff Jr., and mother and father-in-law, Dale and Wanda Tanner Sr.
Visitation will be at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica, Ohio on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of her service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edward Hunker officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica, Ohio or to Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.
