Marvin L. (Butch) Homan, 84, of Centerton passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 11, 2023 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
Marvin was born March 19, 1939 to the late Roland and Irma (Leber) Homan.
He married Donna Smith, June 20, 1959. Marvin worked many years for Schneider Inc. in Monroeville before starting Homans Water Hauling with Donna. After Donna’s passing, he was proud to share his knowledge and business with his son, David and grandsons, Mike and Brian.
Marvin was a stranger to no one. He could be found most days on a tractor working his field or enjoying breakfast at Havana.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie (Dean) Montoney; son, David (Susan) Homan all of Centerton. Grandchildren, Christy (Tony) Zack, Brian (Kelsey) Montoney, Mike (Megan) Homan and Katie (Mark) Schoen; great grandchildren, Erica, Ayden, Noah, Kinley, Karsen, Allie, Maddie, Jackson and Olivia; sisters, Nancy Stallkamp, Bonnie Smith, Judy (Rich) Libbee; brothers, Randy (Cindy) Homan and Rollie (Cheryl) Homan.
Marvin is preceded in death by his wife, Donna whom died in 1993, along with his parents and sister, Marilyn Jean.
Friends and family can gather on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio. Marvin’s funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio with Pastor Wayne Chasney officiating. Burial will follow at Centerton Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to United Church of Christ in Monroeville or Stein Hospice in Sandusky.
