Marvin Bannworth, age 73, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on January 16, 2025 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on July 31, 1951 in Willard, Ohio to the late Edwin W. and Helen M (Adams) Bannworth.  Marvin had worked at various places in the area including MTD, R.R. Donnelley and Sheller-Globe.  He enjoyed anything outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping.  He was a member of the Willard Conservation League and a past member of the Willard Jaycees.  Marvin spent a lot of time at Nickel Plate Beach and he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Carol Bannworth whom he married on June 25, 1972, children, Jason (Kim) Bannworth of Newark; Nicholas Bannworth of Greenwich; and Melissa Bannworth of Greenwich; grandchildren, Logan, Carson, Allydia, Katelynn, Madison, Jade and Brendon; siblings, Terry Bannworth of Willard, Edwin (Michelle) Bannworth of Sandusky; Greg (Stacy)Bannworth of Monticello, GA; Rhonda (Terry) Anderson of Norwalk; and JoAnn (Glenn) Baker of Willard; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Bannworth; sister, Karen Pelsang; and sister-in-law, Ruth Bannworth.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Willard Church of God, 4551 Willard West Road, Willard, OH 44890 where his service will be on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Griffith and Pastor James Pomerich officiating.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.  Online condolences may be made to Marvin’s family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
