Mark Daniel Fletcher, age 56, passed away after a fall at his home Saturday, November 11th 2024. He was born on November 16, 1967, to Gary and Marie (Shepherd) Fletcher Sr. in Shelby, Ohio. After graduating from Plymouth High School in 1986, he worked at Armco Steel in Mansfield, Kendler's Bar in Cleveland, and as a meat cutter for Sam's Club in Mansfield and Columbus. In 2009, he decided to return to school, graduating from Columbus State with his LPN. He then worked at Liberty Nursing Home in Mansfield, Mansfield Memorial Homes, and most recently at Shelby Pointe.

Mark was dearly beloved by his family and everyone that ever knew him. He was always willing to help anyone with a project, his cabin and his childhood home being his pride and joy. He enjoyed studying the genealogy and history of his family and had become quite the historian on both sides of the family. If you had any problems with anything related to technology, he was always there to figure it out.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Tracy (Moses) Porter of Shiloh, Jill (Ambrose) Adams of Lexington, nephew Ryan Porter of Mansfield, nieces Tricia Porter of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jaclyn Fletcher of Manhattan, New York, nephew Ambrose (Jade) Adams Jr. of Mansfield, dear friend Jodie (Clay) Bush of New Franklin, Ohio, childhood friend Ronnie Arnett of Mansfield Ohio, 1 great niece, 4 great nephews and 1 on the way, 3 aunts, 1 uncle, and numerous cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his father, his brother Gary Fletcher Jr., his nephew Christopher Fletcher, his paternal grandparents T.M. (Chloe) Fletcher, maternal grandparents Troy (Virgie) Shepherd, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins.

Family and friends may call at Secor's Funeral Home in Plymouth Friday, November 15th 5-7p with Funeral Services Saturday November 16, 2024, at 12:00 with visitation one hour prior. Some of my very best high school memories included Mark; trying not to talk in study hall, all the lunch laughs, prom, hanging out at various games, and weekends in Shiloh. Mark was a great friend who was kind, funny, and so talented. My deepest condolences and prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time.

It has been with great sadness to learn of Mark's passing. He was a great friend and coworker and an amazing caring nurse! He could bring a smile or laughter to any and every occasion. He was entertaining with his share of music and stories of his life that he shared with us all. I'm honored to have had the opportunity to make some work memories on the job with him that we can all look back on and reflect as a entertaining memory of him and his zest for life. May you all find strength and peace in knowing that he touched soo many lives and he has left soo many memories of him for us all to share.

I was honored to work side by side with this man at Liberty. Not only was he an awesome nurse , he was everyone's friend. He was always there when I needed him, whether it was to help me when the load was to much or just listen to me complain. I feel so honored to have had him in my life. Rest easy my friend. Love you!
