Marion P. Hoover, age 66, resident of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away Monday, November 8, 2004 in Samaritan Regional Health Systems in Ashland. He was born on November 19, 1937 in Goshen, IN, to the late W. Paul and Myrtle (Good) Hoover. He was a member of the Woodlawn Mennonite Church, where he served as minister.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma (Horst) Hoover, whom he wed on July 27, 1958; 10 sons and daughters-in-law, Richard & Rose Hoover of Martinsburg, PA, John & Agnes Hoover of Leetonia, OH, Lynn & Rosene Hoover of Kenton, OH, Roger & Brenda Hoover of Orrville, OH, Dennis & Roberta Hoover of Neshkoro, WI, Duane & Sharon Hoover of Neshkoro, WI, Dean & Lovisa Hoover of Thornloe, Ontario, Philip & Miriam Hoover of Shiloh, Joseph Hoover of Shiloh, and Mark and Ella Joy Hoover of Rawlins, WY; four daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda & Titus Rudolph of Arcadia, FL, Regina Hoover of Shiloh, Martha Hoover of Shiloh, and Lois & Brian Burkholder of Benton, IL; 55 grandchildren; three brothers, David, Elvin, and Clarence Hoover all of Goshen, IN; and two sisters, May & Ted BeMiller of Wakarusa, IN, and Rhoda & Roy Martin of Nappanee, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, and granddaughter, Shannon Hoover.
Friends may call at the Woodlawn Mennonite Church, on St. Rt. 13, 2 miles north of Shenandoah, Ohio, on Thursday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the Woodlawn Mennonite Church at 10:00 AM with Leroy Zimmerman and H. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Mennonite Cemetery.
