Magie Bolen, age 80, of Leonard Street, Willard, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2002, at his home. He was born July 22, 1921 in Rock Fork, KY and has lived in Willard the last 32 years. He was a W.W. II Army Veteran and was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Nannie Jane Bolen, who he married September 24, 1946; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis (Ray) Bays of Willard, Cloy (Roger) Boyd of Willard, Sue (Ruben) Flores of Willard and Charlotte (Gary) Fink of Willard; son, Steve Bolen of Garrett, KY; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Tempie (Mills) Bolen; 2 grandsons, Phillip Dwayne Bays and Jeremy Francis Bolen; serveral brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, 2002, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 AM The burial will be at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the Stein Hospice of Sandusky or to the American Cancer Society.
