With great sadness we share the passing of Magdalene Schrader. “Maggie” died peacefully surrounded by her family on April 10, 2023, at the Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH, shortly after celebrating her 89th birthday. Maggie was a beloved friend, neighbor, mother, sister, Mamaw, Gmaw, and Grana, and will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. In her time with us, she touched the hearts of so many with her genuine warmth and affection. Her love will be missed, but her memory will live on forever.
Maggie was born in Wayland, Kentucky and spent 51 years in Willard, OH after marrying her husband Kelly on February 20, 1954.
Preceded in death by her parents, Filder and Burlie Moore, her husband Leonard “Kelly” Schrader and her brothers Richard, Claude, and Larry. She is survived in death by her brothers Marvin, Bill, and Charles, and sisters Ann, Betty and Patty, son Michael Schrader (Karen) of Frankfurt, KY and daughter Vickie Gardner (Scott) of Huron, OH, Grandchildren Kelly Ross Schrader, Reed Schrader, Brandon Gardner (Mairi), Austin Gardner (Sarah Neibler) and her beloved Great-Grandchildren Brody Ross Schrader and Walter Wesley Gardner. Nothing gave her more joy than her family, especially her sweet Brody and Wally.
Maggie will be laid to rest in the New Haven Cemetery in Willard, OH, next to her late husband Kelly Schrader. Services to be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at the Secor Funeral Home, 202 W Maple St, in Willard, OH. Visitation hours will take place from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with a service to follow.
