Louise Ida Roth, age 91, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Embassy of Willard Nursing Home. She was born on May 21, 1932 in Crawford County, Ohio to the late Isadore and Eleanore (Smith) Kehres.  Louise earned her RN Degree from Providence School of Nursing and was proud to be a RN at Shelby and Willard Hospitals where she made great memories and amazing friendships.

Louise met the love of her life, George L. Roth at a local square dance.  They were engaged shortly before he was stationed for two years in Germany serving in the U.S. Army.  Upon his return, they were married on September 1, 1956 and they lived in Shelby and Willard areas where they raised their family.  Her strong faith in God was very important to her as they were members at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby, and later a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard where they volunteered their time and talents.  Louise was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and volunteered with her husband for after school programs.  Together they enjoyed playing cards, country music, and most of all, spending time with family.

She is survived by three children, Julie (Chris) Chaney of Liberty Township, Sara (Sean) Sifferlin of Westerville, and Greg Roth of Columbus; five grandchildren, Katie (Jeff) Wilson of Cincinnati, Maggie (Tyler) Chini of Greenville, SC, Stephanie Chaney of Santa Monica, CA, Alec and Drake Sifferlin of Westerville; great grandchildren, Max, Luke, and Claire Chini, and Harper, Asher, Kyler, and one on the way, Wilson; siblings, Alice Alt of Willard, Kathleen Leber of Monroeville, Marilyn Kraft of New Washington, William Kehres of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George L. Roth ; sisters, Joan Ehresman and Ruth Rice; brothers, Leonard Kehres, Victor Kehres, Charles Kehres, Roman Kehres and James Kehres.

Visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, Ohio on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM with Father Ron Schock officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church or the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Dorothy M Roth - May 13, 2024
Julie, Sara, Greg and families, so sorry for your loss. I remember how gracious and welcoming your parents were when Jerry first introduced me to them after we were engaged. She was the one who consistently sent us the new updates to the Roth family tree after the reunion. (It's now a 3inch binder) Although I am not able to be there in person for the funeral, know that you all are in my prayers at this time. Take care.

To the greatest sister anyone could ask for! She was my confidant and best friend. Her years as a nurse in the neonatal unit were a source of great joy for her. It is safe to say, she attended to thousands of newborn babies in the area over many years! Until we meet again, Blessed Be, my dear sister -- Rest in Peace.

Was sad to learn that your mother had passed away. Such a lovely lady that I always enjoyed talking with. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
