Lillian R. Strohm, age 91, of New Washington, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Legacy Nursing Home in Bucyrus, Ohio. She was born on February 26, 1933 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Joseph and Alma (Foos) Millenbaugh. Lillian was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington and retired in 1999 as the head cook at Buckeye Central High School. She enjoyed camping, square dancing and most all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her five sons, Steve (Pam) Strohm of New Washington, Jeff (Angie) Strohm of New Washington, Dan Strohm of New Washington, Tim (Lori) Strohm of Shelby, and Dave (Vickie) Strohm of Galion; seven grandchildren, Brooke (Shawn) Young, Courtney (Steven) Nolen, Tori Strohm, Megan Strohm, (Ian Hill), Chelsea (Derrik) Zeiter, Melissa Strohm and Shane Strohm (Ariel Hines); great grandchildren, Parker and Kasen Young, Isla, Briella and Bennie Nolan, Lennox Allen, River Strohm, Kayden and Khloe Hines, and one on the way; siblings, Joe Millenbaugh, Frank (Jeannie) Millenbaugh, and Larry (Linda) Millenbaugh; brothers-in-law, Pete Strohm and Scott Kemp; sisters-in-law, Darlene Strohm and Nancy Strohm; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Strohm, whom she married on September 25, 1954 and he passed away on September 21, 2007; brother, Robert (Elaine) Millenbaugh; sisters, Alice (Norb) Young and Connie Kemp; and sister-in-law, Janet Millenbaugh.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Lillian’s Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington. Burial will be at a later date at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial contributions may be mad to St. Bernard’s Endowment Fund or to the donor’s choice.
