Larry A. Herner, age 83, of Monroeville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Fisher Titus Hospital in Norwalk, Ohio. He was born on June 22, 1941 in Willard, Ohio to the late Clarence and Zella (Wheeler) Herner. Larry had worked at R.R. Donnelly and then worked for the Ohio Turnpike until he retired. He enjoyed softball, dartball, golfing, and hunting mushrooms. His favorite sports teams were the Cleveland Indians and the Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Cavello) Herner whom he married on September 5, 1959; 5 children, Mike (Kelly) Herner, John Herner, Kathy Sledge (Brent Willingham), Scott Herner and Robert (Nikki) Herner; 5 grandchildren, Chad, Megan, Amanda, Sydney, and Travis; 6 great grandchildren, Revan, Kanan, Kyrsten, Bradley, Andrew, and Daniel; a sister, Carolyn Thompson; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Herner.

Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Deacon Bruce Alge officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
