Kraine Andrew Shell, age 27, of New Washington, Ohio passed away on April 27, 2015 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on November 22, 1987 in Willard to Andy Shell and Donna Shell. Kraine graduated in 2006 from Buckeye Central High School and attended Pioneer Joint Vocational School, specializing in graphic design. He worked for Hord Livestock for 3 years as an environmental technician/cattle team member. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in New Washington, Sons of the American Legion in New Washington and the Willard Moose Club. Kraine enjoyed working on his family farm, spending time at cookouts with family and friends’, enjoyed skiing, and spending time with his dog, Busa, whom was his pride and joy.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica (France) Shell whom he married on June 17, 2011; father, Andrew P. (Kathy) Shell of New Washington; mother, Donna J. (Snay) Shell of New Washington; sister, Loren L. Shell of New Washington; grandfather, Robert A. Shell of New Washington; grandmother, Patricia A. Snay of New Washington; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Laurie France of Galion; sister and brother-in-law, Andrew and Ashley Bishop of Toledo; Niece, Aubrey Bishop of Toledo; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his dog, Busa.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane Lee Shell; grandfather, Hubert W. Snay; and uncle, Doug Shell.
Family and friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic School gym in New Washington, Ohio on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00-8:00 PM where a funeral mass will be on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crawford Co. Humane Society or Buckeye Central F.F.A. I am so sorry to hear about Kraine. He was my student in Graphic Arts at Pioneer. I remember him well and enjoyed having him in class. He was always well behaved and had a good sense of humor.I will not forget him and I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to the family. I also lost a son when he was 27 so I know the pain you are going through. I know you will cherish the memories and the time you had with him. God bless you.

My heart breaks for Jessica, Donna, Andy, Loren, and Kraine’s extended family. My earliest memory of Kraine is one of he & Dane together in town on their bikes (we were young). They always seemed more like brothers than cousins to me. Kraine was very obviously loved by all of his cousins, his wife, and entire family. Praying for peace & comfort for all of you through this time and for years to come. So sorry for your loss.
