Kenneth Ray Montgomery, age 73, of Jackson, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Floyd County, Kentucky. He was born on August 6, 1947 in Jackson, Kentucky to the late Price and Lona (Clemons) Montgomery.
Ken worked as a welder at Sheller Globe for many years and attended Bethel Bible Baptist Church in Salyersville, Kentucky.
In his spare time, Ken could be found mowing his grass with his favorite John Deere tractor, spending time with his two dogs, Ebony and Sassy, working on cars or fishing. He loved singing his favorite song, "You Are My Sunshine," to his wife.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Vanichek) Montgomery, whom he married on June 5, 1967; son, David Montgomery of Jackson, Kentucky; daughter, Tabitha (David) Shepherd of Greenwich, Ohio; grandson, Garrett Shepherd of Greenwich, Ohio; granddaughter, Emily Montgomery of Kentucky; sister, Irene (Bill) Honaker of Willard, Ohio; brother, J.C. Montgomery of Jackson, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Roberta Montgomery of Delphi, Ohio and Arizona Montgomery of Willard, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by three brothers, Orbin, Marvin and Minuard (Dixie) Montgomery; and sister, Louise Montgomery.
