Junior Barnett, 85, of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Blossom Nursing Home in Willard, Ohio. He was born on April 15, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Melis and Mollie Barnett.

Junior was employed with Pioneer Rubber Balloon Company for over 40 years. He was a hard worker who did his best to provide for his family. A true family man, he would light up anytime his children or grandchildren would enter his home.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed boxing, a hobby that he loved to reminisce about. He enjoyed watching western’s on tv along with owning some of the top coon hunting dogs in the area.

Junior is survived by his loving wife, Wilda (Tackett) Barnett; seven children, Theresa (Dennis) O’Connor, Lisa (Elias) Mireles, Angela Patton (Roy Burling), Tonya (Mauricio) Medina, Matthew (Patricia) Barnett, Justin (Roberta) Barnett and Donald Patton; numerous grandchildren great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, Lonnie (Phyllis) Barnett, Russell Barnett, Kenneth Barnett, Ruth Ann Barnett, Mary Barnett, Lonie Barnett, Flossie Barnett-Scholl and Miles Barnett; and favorite canine companion, Daisy.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Corey Burling, Brock Long and Titan Johnson; and siblings, Annielou Barnett, Justeen Barnett, Johnny (Betty) Barnett, Katherine Kilgore, Cassie Rice and Thurman Barnett.

Family and friends may visit at the Living Truth Community Church, 631 S Main St., Willard, Ohio on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Junior’s funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor David Montgomery officiating.
