Joyce Nadine Castle, age 83, resident of Shelby, Ohio, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Crestwood Care Center, in Shelby, Ohio. She was born on February 5, 1937, in Louisa, Kentucky, to the late Johnnie Lee Taylor and Lillian (Sexton) Taylor Diamond, and had been a 50 year resident of Plymouth, until moving to Shelby in 2005.

She enjoyed crocheting doilies, quilting, and sewing clothes. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother who enjoyed taking care of her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Willis (Sandy) Castle, Marina Hammett, and Krista (Dave) Burkett; grandchildren, Danika Hammett, Megan (Nick) Clay, Jay (Julie) Easterling, Jason (Marjorie Vest) Easterling, Nate (Kodi) Wieland and Joshua Jewell; great-grandchildren, Alessia, Leah, Maggie, Hannah, Serenity, Jase, Korbin, Gaby, Julian and one on the way; a brother, Denver Taylor and a sister, Martha Meek.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Willis Rell Castle; daughter, Janet K. Easterling; an infant son; two brothers, Harold Taylor and Johnnie Taylor; three sisters, Marie Bradley, Irene Crank and Charlotte Thompson and a son-in-law, Jeff Hammett.

Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM where her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, with Chaplain Reggie Cureton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
