Joshua Matthew James Collins, age 19, resident of Attica, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Toledo St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, following injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on August 4, 1993 in Norwalk, Ohio, to Billy James Collins Jr and Cheryl (Bolen) Collins. Josh graduated with honors from Seneca East High School. He was currently attending North Central College in Mansfield, where he wanted to be a physical therapist. Josh enjoyed playing his guitar.
Josh is survived by his father, Billy James Collins Jr. of Attica; mother, Cheryl Collins of Greenwich; three sisters, Kimberly (Jeffrey) Keysor of Norwalk, Ashley Collins and Chyann Collins, both of Willard; four nephews and one niece; grandparents, Kathy (Tim) Kilgore of Willard, Bill (Phyllis) Collins of Attica and Burt (Doris) Bolen of Willard; and girlfriend, Johni Hamons of Republic.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the United Baptist Church in Green Springs, Ohio, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dave Spradlin will officiate. Burial will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. I work at Seneca East as a substitute teacher and had the opportunity to get to know Josh during his senior year. He was truly a wonderful young man, always very polite. I will continue to pray for your family during this most difficult time.
