Jorge N. Batres Chavez, age 66, of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 20, 1957 in San Vicente, El Salvador to Nicolas Serpas Batrez and Martha M. Chavez. Jorge graduated from Alexander High School in Los Angeles and had worked at MTD in Willard, worked in construction, and was a mechanic. He loved to work on his cars and travel, he has been everywhere. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jorge is survived by his wife, Mirna Batres; children, Juan, Bianca, Nicki, Alisson, Emely and Audrey; grandchildren, Altimo and Genesis; mother, Martha M. Chavez; 9 siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Jorge is preceded in death by his father, Nicolas Serpas Batrez.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Iglesia de Dios de la Profecia, 3462 Austin Drive, Willard, Ohio. His funeral service will be at the church on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sylvia Morla officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard.
