John P. Woodyard III, age 67, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away, Friday, April 3, 2020, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 21, 1952, to the late John P. Woodyard II and Mary Arvel (Page) Woodyard.

John was a 1971 Norwalk High School graduate. He then went on to study at Stautzenberger College, as a CPA. John had worked as a purchaser, along with many other titles, at Tenneco in Milan. He enjoyed music and attending concerts with his wife, Kathy. One of their favorites was going to see Todd Rundgren. John was a strong advocate for the non-profit organization, Spirit of Harmony, which was started by Todd Rundgren, that helped fund music for children. John looked forward to Super Bowl Sunday Extravaganza with "the boys"; he never missed an opportunity to get together with them and play poker. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Kathy (Ehrman) Woodyard; daughter, Harmony Paulus; and a brother, Barry E. Woodyard.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Miller.

At this time, there will be no services held. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to John's family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com. Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, is handling arrangements.

Brother Barry has been a good friend of mine since 1970. Many fun times as a young man. I remember Johnny as a brother who always had his brother's back. A nice guy who loved music.
