John Harris, loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, and brother, passed away, at his home, on September 23, 2019.
John wore many hats in his life. He was a Navy Corpsman, surgical Tech, Police Officer, fire fighter/EMT, and Sheriff's Deputy.
John was always willing and ready to lend a hand to those in need. He was a big part of the Starfish Project and Teen Challenge, two organizations he was passionate about to help those with addiction to get the help they need.
John loved to fish, travel, cook, try new foods, and spend time with his friends and family.
John is survived by his wife of 18 years, Renee Harris; his step daughter, Kellie (Brad) Shook; and two grandsons, Braden and Gavin Shook; mother, Sue Keenan; brothers, Scott Harris, Jerry (Deanna) Reedy and Jason Linder; sisters, Shari (Ray) Dawson and Holly Denney; step brother, Jimmy (Brooke) Rockford; step sister, Jodi (Chuck) Ditmers; and seventeen nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his father, John Harris Sr.
Family and friends may gather at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, where a memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Doug Winner officiating.
